In addition to the thriving children and youth ministries at Brooks Avenue, the Special Needs Ministry has also created Lyft, a program for teens (rising 4th graders – 12th graders) who have a sibling with special needs.
Lyft provides time for connection, sharing, and fellowship in a Christian environment with other teens who have a sibling with special needs. Like the eagle that soars in Isaiah 40:31, we know that through the power of community, our teens can truly Lyft one another to new heights!
Lyft was created and is facilitated by Kristine Harris (meet Kristine in the video below!) and in 2016, we joined Lyft with the Family Connect Nights at Hope Community Church. This means that there is a parent support group and childcare also available! See our calendar for current dates and times and click the image below to be routed to Hope’s website for more information and to register. Even if you are joining the group in the middle or at the end of a session, it’s okay! You will fit right in!
